There’s a nice song by the spanish band Los Gritos that I love called Adiós verano, adiós amor (goodybe summer, goodbye love), translated to winter I feel the same way about packing away my favourite winter dresses. By now it’s really too warm to wear any wool knits and while I like summer just fine I wanted to give just one last spin to my favourite knit dress, which funnily hadn’t yet made it into the blog.
This is the first Orla Kiely dress I bought and I love it as much as the first day, or more. It was love at first sight when I first saw it in a lookbook ages ago and I barely knew the brand. A bit more than a year later I was walking home from college in London when I walked by a sample sale at the Truman Brewery and spotted my dream dress from outside for a mere £50, I couldn’t believe it even if at the time that dress meant half my weekly rent.
As you can see I also got a much needed haircut, mainly to even out the lenght in the back and sides, it’s looking a bit more like a bob now. Also I know I haven’t been updating much lately, I’m afraid it’s going to be hard to keep it up with my job, course and internship but I’ll try my best!
